Records will be updated at the end of each SC and LC season after certificates have been presented to the swimmers based on Team Manager Results files acquired after each meet.

Club Records are held by STARplex Swim Club and are subject to ratification by STARplex Swim Club prior to inclusion.

Procedure for Claiming a Club Record

Only swims at Swimming SA approved meets with a qualified referee and requisite number of officials present are recognised (ie excludes club championships)

A swimmer who breaks a record at an appropriate school swim meet or club event or interstate event or international event (if criteria below are met) are responsible for submitting their own record application (form below). It is not the responsibility of STARplex to screen for records at these meets.

For recognition of STARplex Club Records the following criteria requirements are to be fulfilled before STARplex can approve applications for records.

1. The swimmer must be registered as a full member with STARplex Swim Club at the time of the swim being claimed

2. The meet must satisfy the following criteria:

• Conducted in a 25m or 50m pool 
• Conducted under the Rules of SwimmingSA 
• The official times determined by automatic timing or semi-automatic timing 
• Have the adequate number of officials present as approved by SwimmingSA.

3. Splits can no longer be claimed as a record.  Record has to be for the event as specified.

4.  Applications for missing records are required to be received by STARplex within 28 days of the records being published at the end of the season.

Once Records are published at the end of the season, if you believe a record has been missed, please complete the Record Application Form within 28 days of the results being published so that it can be checked and included, and put in the reply slips box on poolside.  If you want to claim an old record please also complete the application form.
